Nora Profit
Writing Mistakes That Keep Writers from Getting Published
"With the=2 0right information, anyone can write well and get published,"says Nora Profit. She should know. She’s been writing and getting paid for what she writes for more than thirty years including being a featured author in both the Chicken Soup for the Writer’s Soul and Chicken Soup: Living Your Dreams. Nora, founder of The Writing Loft, Northern California’s only creative writing school, knows that grammar mistakes are easy to cure. Style mistakes are not. Style mistakes send an unqualified message that a writer is an amateur. Publishers and editors are willing to take a chance on a new writer, but they are leery about taking a chance on a writer unfamiliar with the necessary craft of writing. Nora will show attendees how to move their writing from ordinary to memorable by identifying common style errors essential for mastering the magic of craft.
